Type 1 Diabetes is a chronic medical condition that disrupts the pancreas’ insulin production and ultimately, the lives of those diagnosed. For people who live with the condition, you’re sure to find adaptability and attention-to-detail listed on their résumés. However, beginning the job search as an individual, living with an invisible chronic condition adds additional pressures to an already demanding process. Join GWWIB and our professional panelists, members of the Young Leadership Committee of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation’s Capital Chapter, to learn how to navigate invisible battles, overcome challenges that chronic conditions pose, and gain skills to be an advocate in the workplace.
